The slit reels are wound by combined central and/or contact drive. Each reel is hold by a pair of hinged arms; one of them includes the central drive system composed by timing belt transmission and clutch. Each reel is also leaning against a central drum at an adjustable pressure for contact winding. Press unloading is largerly facilitated by hydraulic positioning of each pair of hinged arms.
